Zipline
Experience the thrill of the longest zipline in Namibia! Our exhilarating zipline adventure features two individual lines, measuring 880 meters and 680 meters respectively.
Advance booking is essential, and all participants must arrive at the lodge before 08:00 to prepare for the activity.
Important Information:
• Minimum age: 5 years
• Participants under 50 kg will ride tandem with a parent or an experienced guide
• Maximum weight limit: 110 kg

Get ready for an unforgettable zip over the stunning Ugab landscapes!

Guided Walk
From the lodge, guests will embark on a scenic drive to the opposite side of the Ugab Terrace Lodge property. Along the way, our knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights into the history and unique features of the area.
Upon arrival at the designated starting point, we will begin a guided 4-kilometre walk through the heart of the Ugab landscape. During the walk, the guide will provide detailed information on:
• The geology of the area
• Indigenous plant life
• Animal tracking techniques
• Traditional methods used by early inhabitants to survive in the Ugab Valley
This experience offers an enriching journey through the natural and cultural heritage of one of Namibia’s most remarkable regions.

Rock Art Excursion
Step back in time with our guided Rock Art Excursion — a 4-hour journey going into the history and culture of the ancient Bushmen who once thrived in the Ugab Valley.
Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into how these early inhabitants survived and adapted to the harsh, arid landscape.
Discover remarkable rock paintings that tell the story of their lives, traditions, and deep connection with nature.
This experience includes light snacks and refreshing drinks to enjoy as you explore this unique cultural heritage.

Sundowner Drive
Join our knowledgeable guide for a relaxed afternoon drive, where you’ll discover the hidden wonders of nature beyond the Big Five.
Learn about the plants, animal tracks, and the often-overlooked smaller creatures that call the Ugab Valley home.
This 2.5-hour experience offers a deeper appreciation for the intricate details of the natural world, all shared through the insights and stories of your guide.
The adventure ends with a classic sundowner — refreshing drinks and light snacks served against the backdrop of a breathtaking Namibian sunset.

Bird Watching
Observe the endemic birds of Namibia, from violet wood-hoopoes, Hartlaub’s spurfowls, Rüppel’s parrots, Monteiro’s hornbills, carp’s tits to bare-cheeked babblers, rockrunners and white-tailed shrikes. Rosy-faced lovebirds, with their colourful plumage and gregarious character, also make for interesting viewing and a wonderful photo opportunity.

Stargazing
With so little light-pollution, Namibia offers some of the best stargazing in the world. It is also a photographer’s dream – bring along your camera and tripod to capture the mesmerizing African night sky with the Milky Way taking centre stage.

Unguided Walk
Step into the heart of nature on our 5.5 km marked trail, leading you to our cave camping site.
Please note: this is a one-way trail, not a loop — a true journey into the wild. Before you set off, we encourage you to collect a radio from the lodge, as there is no mobile signal along the way.
As you wander through the rugged landscape, you might spot baboons, kudu, the shy Damara dik-dik, and a variety of remarkable plants and animals specially adapted to this unique environment.
Breathe in the fresh air, embrace the quiet, and let nature surprise you at every turn.
